How to Achieve the Best Self-care Night of Your Life

Ok so it’s Friday night, and you just got home from work. All your head can comprehend at this point is Thai food and a good face mask. Trust me, we have all been there at some point, and for me, that’s every single week (no shame).

Here is a list of the things I can’t live without during my ME time. Every self-care night begins in a shower. I start off with the Klei Citrus + Coconut Body Scrub (coming soon) which exfoliates all the dead skin I have been carrying on my body throughout the week. As someone who works out several times a week and sweats profusely during my morning commute, this body scrub gets the job done! I then go in with the Necessaire body wash in Sandalwood. The warm and spicy scent completely washes away all the anxiety you had building up but couldn’t release. I then top it off with the Necessaire body lotion which is filled with tons of vitamins and antioxidants that makes my skin smoother and noticeably firmer.

Now for the good stuff! I slip into my bamboo lyocell PJs and begin concocting my Nourish mask. I like to sometimes add a little something extra into the powder mix as a boost. Sometimes it’s a bit of blue tansy oil for inflammation days, and sometimes it’s a selenium ampoule for a surge of antioxidants. After slathering the mask all over my face, I pop on a feel-good movie. Some nights I am feeling Cameron Diaz, other nights, it’s Julia Roberts. As the Pretty Woman opening credits begin I run to my freezer to grab some dark chocolate (freezer chocolate is the best chocolate) which is excellent for your heart as well as your nervous system. To make this spa-like experience even more sensory, I light my Boy Smells candle in Kush and douse myself in Nue Co’s Functional Fragrance which is literal magic.

All good things must come to an end… As I’m dosing off, I realize I have a mask on and reluctantly take it off and go to bed.
